Game Girls is about two women watching the game with their running commentary about what they find entertaining.

Detailed Pitch

Get more women “on-board” & add sponsors. 

GG is about 2 women watching the game…well not really, but the game is turned on or they are at the game or they’ve just recently watched it.  They’re talking about hair, nails, what the players look like, & the goings-on in everyday life in and around the stands at the game.

Women viewers are approximately 30% or less of the male sports.  How do we bring in more women?  2 words: Game Girls.  Women will identify with the 2 fashionista’s, laugh, nod their heads, and take note of the sponsors that they are endorsing by “name-dropping.”  (Think “cult following.”) Men will laugh; “Yeah, that sounds like Margaret…Hey Margaret, come in here and watch these Game Girls!” The men will be happy that the women are engrossed more and by snagging them into the GG vignettes the women might stay a little longer and ‘discover’ the game.  Little by little; “baby steps.”

Where do you put GG?

During dead-time: communication with announcers in the booth (using on-site cameras), on TV , the jumbo-tron, entrance greeting or in a studio while watching the game on a screen (like Men in Blazers soccer show), or even a road trip.

Skits: Game Girls skits are endless

At the game & in the stands GG are chatting & attempting to watch the game, when a delivery man approaches Game Girl #1 with a large bouquet of red roses:  “Game Girl #1?”  “Yes.”  “Here’s a 1 800 flower delivery, sign here.”  She gushes, “Oh they’re flowers from the match.com date that I had last night!”  Then the delivery man adds, “Are you Game Girl, #2?”  She nods yes & he shoves a small prickly cactus in her hands where she hollers, “Ouch, that pricked me!”  The GG exchange knowing looks & Game Girl #2 mumbles, “guess I didn’t pick the right dating site.” There you have 2 sponsors: Match.com & 1 800 flowers.

Game Girls GAMES

Match makers: GG select 2 people from the game to go out with each other, giving them each a ticket to a future game. The chosen couple may check-in with us later. If it’s successful then you can show them on the kiss-a-gram.  If it’s not then they are each given a 3 month subscription to Match.com.  Win-win & a sponsor placement.

Interviews: In the stands with GG

Celebrities who don’t get paid but want to have exposure; i.e. stars promoting a show/movie, sports figures (present & past), politicians (they love free tickets)  children, fashionistas, people from the concession stands, ground-keepers (especially the good dancers) & parking lot attendants.  Oh they’ll all have something juicy for the spectators & audience.  (And GG can & will extract it from them!)

Road Trips:

Game Girls can attend sports bars throughout the U.S. in major cities, & remote areas in the middle of nowhere (preferable in a state where we can barely understand their dialect/accent.)  Maybe a member of the Duck Dynasty clan or Swamp people could join us?  From the country clubs to biker bars; just as long as there is a TV screen showing the game.  Getting a feel for the good ole’ USA fan no matter what they do, how they speak, or where they’re from.  We’re all part of the team family.

Tail Gate parties:

Game Girls love to share with the fans & they can walk through the isles mooching & deciding who has the best party and food, then give away a GG prize. (A sports event ticket or a product we promote or a GG tee shirt.)

Sponsors:

There can be a message bar under the Game Girls screen that states the sponsor or there could be a sponsor’s product strategically placed or on a credit roll. There’s women’s products, unisex products; favorite pillows, Biofreeze, best windshield wipers, & endless things women would be interested in. (Give us a dollar & we can spend it.) Let’s don’t forget the girl scouts. They’re pushy capitalists with a tasty treat!

Clothing line of dresses which can be made with your team colors has expressed interest.  Women will love them (a whole lot better than a sparkly man’s tee shirt & can wear them outside the game.)  And the team can take a percentage of the action in revenue.

Giving-back & “good-will” ambassadors of the game: charitable causes, ie,  Joe Torres Margaret’s House. End homelessness.

 

Men’s response:

Men will embrace the brief candid view-point of women & probably know a woman (or 2) out there who is talking just like Game Girls & laugh with them.  (Ok maybe sometimes at them.)  But then the sexes laugh with & at each other all the time.  It’s what makes the world-go-round.  Let’s include the women for these reasons:

  1. Increase women viewers
  2. Bring in new sponsors
  3. Endorse current sponsors
  4. Bring activities together for both men & women
  5. Provide entertainment for the games
  6. Make the games prettier
  7. Oh yes, & add laughter in the midst of serious nail-biting, gambling, chest-pounding, button-tearing, (yep! that’s what my brother-in-law does!) heart-stopping competition. Proverbs 17:22 “A merry heart doith good like medicine.”
